Saffronia - From Four Women name recommended by Aaron Coleman. I started this sketch out a few weeks ago and came back to it. I will likely work up this digital versions into a pastel on board in the coming weeks. I created this in Procreate using my familiar charcoals and 3rd party paper textures. this time with some color added.The inspiration comes from some old wooden sculptures we had around the house when I was young. I’m not sure if they still exist at my brothers house now but I remember them from way back and that rough cut finish but I wanted to soften the feel a bit. I will be posting a video of this digital version of the artwork. And likely selling the pastel on completion. Sizes will be named later for the physical piece in pastel, probably 10”x20”
