This logo graphic was created by request of the director of West Baton Rouge Museum . It is a representation of Louisiana’s part in the civil war using the colors of both the union and confederacy which is part of our history. I utilized our state bird which is represented on our flag and the red white and blue as well as the blue and grey. The color of the pelicans wings loosely represent the flags of the United States and the Stars and Bars. For the United States the blue field is in the top left hand corner at the top and the more symmetrical stars and bars with the blue in the center on the right wing.
The graphic was successfully utilized in The museums online publication (web site) and used collaterally on subsequent documents promoting the event.
